Adarsh Williams is an Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga teacher (KPJAYI – 2), Yoga Alliance Trainer (E- RYT 500, CE Provider), Mobility Specialist, and founder of Monterey Yoga in California. With a diverse experience in the wellness field and over twenty years of professional experience, Adarsh has helped organizations and individuals develop programs around the world. He has led trainings and retreats in Europe, Middle East, US, and is a frequent guest teacher in SpaceYoga, Taiwan and SpaceCycle, China.

Adarsh’s Youtube channel has become a popular resource in the fitness community featuring yoga and neuromuscular sequences for the full body. Request from viewers led to the 2017 release of his feature video Smart Stretch.

A graduate of ASM, Adarsh has practiced neuromuscular therapy and hands-on treatments for over 20 years. His modalities have grown to incorporate Dr. Kelly Starrett’s Movement & Mobility Systemwhich empowers individuals to self-treat as they practice.

Adarsh met Pattabhi Jois at his NYC workshop in 2001, then followed the legendary teacher to Mysore, India soon after. Although he had been active in yoga and the healing arts for several years, Adarsh was compelled to study further the systematic approach, hands-on adjustments, and Sanskrit counting of Ashtanga.

The next two years, Adarsh practiced daily with KPJ and his grandson R. Sharath Jois, immersing himself in the Mysore style and experiencing time in the company of masters. This was also a busy time for Adarsh as a bodyworker, treating the “sore” yogis of Mysore, and developing his own therapeutic model for Ashtanga; Mysore Body. 

Always an advocate for a DIY approach to self-treatment, Adarsh has modeled the best systems in physiotherapy and sports science for yoga athletes. Simply put, Adarsh brings the best practices of modern training into the world of traditional yoga.

Adarsh spends his spare time being a beginner at many activities including: language-learning, CrossFit, and skateboarding, all the while conjuring up ways to amuse his kids.
